The Palpite white is made from the traditional Alentejo grapes Arinto and Alicante Blanco, blended with a selection of old‑vine grapes. It presents a straw‑yellow, lemony hue and an intense, complex aroma that blends grapefruit, orange peel and hints of fresh cream. On the palate it feels textured and lively, yet rich and intense, with a persistent finish. Portuguese winemaker António Maçanita and English consultant/viticulturist David Booth met in early 2004; over the following months António learned viticulture from David, and a strong friendship grew. The next step was wine‑making – and the first bottle won the Trophy Alentejo at the International Wine Challenge, its second award in 22 years of competition.
