This António Saramago Superior, hailing from the Setúbal Peninsula and boasting a Castelão front and centre, isn’t messing around. Spending 18 months in new French oak has given it a welcome vibrancy and the complexity a young Castelão deserves. The wine, awarded 93 points by Revista de Vinhos, is delightfully fresh and lively – the fruity notes of the grape shine through impressively. It’s a fantastic match for grilled fish and seafood rice, truly.
