This Arco d’Aguieira is a bold statement – the Maria Gomes spent nearly a year aging in stainless steel, giving her a welcome softening of her inherent character. The remaining grapes, matured in French oak barrels, contribute intriguing layers of complexity, promising a truly balanced experience. Traditional *bâttonage* – meticulously maintained by our cellar – and the impressive 90-point rating from James Suckling certainly suggest this wine has the potential to become a legend. Seriously delicious with roasted suckling pig or duck, or to really elevate the flavour of a good prawn.
