Garnacha was the predominant grape until just 40 years ago in Rioja Oriental, though today it covers only 10 % of the planted area. With Arizcuren Sologarnacha, its producers sought to showcase the variety’s virtues in a specific spot: the vineyards on the northern slopes of the Serra de Yerga. The result is a juicy red wine with a profoundly mineral backbone, evident on both nose and palate.
