Arvad Red presents an elegant blend of ripe red fruit, black plums, and balsamic notes, later revealing subtle spice nuances and delicate hints of vanilla. Made from Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, and Cabernet Sauvignon, it undergoes partial aging in French oak barrels for 14 months, resulting in a balanced, expressive wine with a distinctive character. Arvad is a winemaking project founded in 2016 along the banks of the Arade River in Silves. The name, meaning “refuge,” reflects the brand’s philosophy: wines crafted with care, authenticity, and respect for the terroir. Benefiting from a Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence and clay‑limestone soils shaped by the region’s history, Arvad produces wines of distinct character under the stewardship of winemaker Bernardo Cabral, whose first vinification took place in 2019. *(illustrative image only)*
