This Arvad Reserva, hailing from the Algarve, certainly doesn’t play by the rules. Built around Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon, it’s a wine brimming with intensity – best enjoyed between 16 and 18°C. Expect a vibrant nose of blackcurrant and ripe blackberry, underscored by that classic tobacco note and a subtle spice complexity. The palate delivers beautifully, with well-structured tannins hinting at longevity, and a remarkably persistent finish. A fantastic pairing would be with a hearty grilled cut of meat or a mature, aged cheese – a truly satisfying experience.
