This Bagagem Alvarinho, born from Luís Moreira’s passion and the Monção terroir, is a truly evocative tribute to the region’s smuggling history – a story told through a wine that practically vibrates with the spirit of the Minho. The 22-year-old vines and controlled skin contact maceration deliver an incredible burst of green apple, citrus, and mineral intensity, almost as if you’re feeling the Atlantic breeze. On the palate, the structure is remarkably balanced, driven by that granite-rich soil, alongside a vibrant acidity, culminating in a remarkably long finish – absolutely brilliant with fresh fish or, of course, a classic pastel de bacalhau.
