This Rainwater Verdelho is frankly, like something straight out of a fairytale. The colour is a gorgeous, greenish-gold, immediately setting the stage for the magic. On the nose, it offers a wonderfully refreshing elegance, with the salinity of the Alentejo maturing grapes and a subtle hay note reminiscent of island breezes. On the palate, the acidity – as you’d expect from Barbeito – is perfectly pitched, accompanied by notes of yellow plum dancing with remarkable finesse.
