This Sercial from Barbeito, hailing from the sun-drenched slopes of Lajes, is a little island escape. The nose bursts with intensely dried figs, as if they've been basking in the Portuguese sun, alongside a whisper of lavender and a subtle tobacco note reminiscent of the island’s farming heritage. On the palate, the wine delivers a vibrant citrus acidity that beautifully balances the lingering sweetness, culminating in a characteristic bitter almond finish – absolutely divine with some fresh goat cheese.
