Very few producers, especially in Madeiran wine, find a revolution as great as the one that happened with Barbeito in their history. To go from being a bulk wine supplier to becoming a reference in the Madeiran wine region is a feat. Everything began in 1991 when Ricardo Freitas joined the family business and, together with the Japanese Kinoshita, decided to turn Barbeito into one of the most important producers of Madeiran wines.
