Barros Lagrima Branco

Description

This "Barros Lagrima" certainly seems to have lived a full life – those notes of caramel and burnt phosphorus hinting at a rather dramatic journey through the flames. The result is a luscious, honeyed wine brimming with fruit, transporting you straight to the apiary with hints of green almond and a delicate orange blossom finish. It’s no surprise then, given these ‘Velhas Vinhas’ in the Douro earned a respectable 85 points from Wine Spectator; a testament to the region's well-kept secrets. Wonderful with blue cheese, or perhaps a generous spoonful of pumpkin preserve.
