This Beaux Frères Belles Soeurs Pinot Noir is a delightfully stubborn testament to patience, born from Oregon’s vines through a deliberately nostalgic harvest. Michael Etzel’s claim that long hours of manual work, punctuated by mariachi and jazz, “resonate with stories within,” hints at a wine profoundly shaped by its labour. The spontaneous fermentation, guided by wild yeasts, combined with reductive oak ageing, delivers an impressively textured and complex experience – a beautiful balance of Pinot Noir’s grace and a firm refusal to follow convention. Wonderful with grilled fish or delicate poultry.
