The La Croix Boissee, by Bernard Baudry, is a monovarietal Cabernet Franc that presents itself as an extremely delicate, structured wine with great longevity. It comes from vineyards planted on calcareous soils, a key element that imparts freshness and gives the wine a firm body with well‑defined tannins. To prevent the oak from masking the fruit, the ageing is carried out in first, second, and third‑use barrels. It is bottled without filtration, following the house’s philosophy, and stands out for its firmness, its elegant aromas of raspberries, black currants, and ripe cherries, and for its delicate mouthfeel, though not lacking a well‑defined structure. Ideal to pair with quality charcuterie and red meats.
