Beyra “With the Beyra project we pioneered the concept of High‑Altitude Wines. In Vermiosa, among the highest vineyards in Portugal, I returned to the origins, in the very cellar where I made my first harvest.” – Rui Roboredo Madeira The Rufete variety is strongly represented in the Inner Beira, catering to consumers who crave fresh wines with excellent food‑pairing potential. Origin: 100 % Rufete vines, non‑irrigated, sourced from two plots of granite soils in the parish of Vermiosa, within the Douro International Natural Park, at an average altitude of 700 m. Vinification and ageing: Partial destemming and crushing. Full fermentation in cement vats with indigenous yeasts, no temperature control, followed by 15 months in cement jars. Ten per cent of the batch matured in used French oak barrels. This wine has undergone no stabilisation or filtration, making it susceptible to sediment with age. SKU: 107065
