In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returned to the same cellar where he first harvested in 1987. Located in the small village of Vermiosa, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, among Portugal’s highest vineyards, the Beira Interior wines are vinified and aged there. Thus the Beyra wine label was born, distinguished by excellence and the pioneering concept of “High‑Altitude Wines.” In one of the Iberian Peninsula’s most remote zones—between the upper Douro and the Beira Alta—Rui’s family nurtured his passion for the earth’s aromas and scents that shape his character. After years of experience and travels abroad, Rui brings back what he has learned to his roots, launching a personal winemaking project that always respects nature. (Illustrative image only)
