Known as Tempranillo in Spain and Aragonez in southern Portugal, Tinta Roriz is the most widely planted noble red on the Iberian peninsula. In Douro and Dão it brings structure, dark cherry fruit and moderate tannin to traditional blends; in the Alentejo it produces ripe, generous solo varietals.
