Born in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley, this Sémillon from Boekenhoutskloof – a name steeped in history dating back to 1776 – is a true reflection of the region’s heritage. The rich ruby colour comes courtesy of careful aging, a nod to the native Boekenhout tree, which inspired the winery’s moniker. It’s a wine that echoes the success of their famed “Chocolate Block” Syrah blend – a South African favourite – and would pair beautifully with a slow-roasted lamb.
