The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, in line with their age. The National Cellar is obliged to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, its aromas evolve in different ways. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect any sediment that an aged wine tends to produce.
