This isn’t a shy wine – it’s boldly bursting with ripe black fruit aromas, think plum and fig, and a hint of spice, undoubtedly picked up from the unique Tejo terroir. As you’d expect from a wine of this age, there are notes of tobacco and leather, beautifully complementing the complexity of the Agião and Trincadeira grapes, which, incidentally, have already earned a ‘Médaille d'Or’ – a truly impressive achievement – at the Vila Nova de Gaia competition.
