Casa Relvas is a family‑run venture that began in 1997 in São Miguel de Machede, Redondo, by Alexandre Relvas. It seeks to carry on the story of five generations, all driven by a deep passion for the Alentejo and its authentic nature. Over the years the family has grown in parallel with the business, and today the estate covers roughly 750 hectares of montado forest, 225 hectares of olive grove, and 350 hectares of vineyards—all cultivated under integrated, sustainable methods. With its three holdings—Herdade de São Miguel, Herdade da Pimenta, and Herdade de São Miguel de Machede—Casa Relvas can produce about six million bottles of wine each year. About 70 % of those bottles are destined for the international market, making the wines available in more than 30 countries worldwide and offering the best of the Alentejo. (illustrative image)
