“This Cabriz Reserva, hailing from the heart of the Douro, made a rather bold choice – spending six months in French oak barrels. The Encruzado grape, known for its lively character, has absorbed some lovely oak nuances, resulting in a wine with a surprisingly velvety texture. On the palate, you'll find aromas of fresh white fruits, underpinned by subtle spices acquired during its extended ageing. It would pair beautifully with a classic Bacalhau à Brás to really bring out its complexity.”
