This Cardal from Quinta da Alorna leans towards a restrained style – fermentation at a cool 23°C certainly lends it a measured quality. While it lacks the warmth of oak ageing, showcasing the pure expression of the Trincadeira and Touriga Nacional grapes, it’s a remarkably elegant wine. A touch of grilled fish with lemon would really allow its finesse to shine through.
