At the Quintas in the Upper Douro, near Almendra, the Casa Agrícola Roboredo Madeira (CARM) has been linked to viticulture in the region since the late 19th century. The oldest vineyard dates back to 1966, and since then, new traditional varieties have been introduced, converted to a form of Organic Production. With the construction of the cellar, since 2004 wines have been produced that reflect a passion for the land and respect for nature, carrying the scents and flavors of earth, slate, stone, flowers, and wild fruits. With a new approach, these wines emerge as vegan, incorporating ethical and sustainable principles. (illustrative image only)
