Casa da Passarella A wine conceived to honour the history of Casa da Passarella. It is a blend of more than 24 native Dão grape varieties grown in a single 90‑year‑old vineyard. By focusing on this one parcel, we aim to capture its unique terroir. The old vines comprise around 24 different varieties—including some white grapes, which were customary at the time—that have naturally adapted to the site over nearly a century, in perfect harmony. The harvest is hand‑picked in one go, and the entire blend ferments in a traditional cement vat. The natural balance of the vines results in a spontaneous fermentation that requires no must correction, reflecting the terroir in a minimalist style. The wine then spends 18 months ageing in oak barrels. Varietal mix: old‑vine native grapes such as Baga, Touriga Nacional, Alvarelhão, Tinta Pinheira, Jaén, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Carvalha, and more.
