We are faced with a producer reborn from the ashes. He has come to stay and write a new chapter, but the house’s history dates back to the 19th century, when it was first erected. Great wines were born here and from these vines—who can forget the P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca? Fate seemed to have left the estate “abandoned” in the wine world, preserving only a faint memory of the great wines once made there. It also seemed destiny that the new owner, people of good taste and extreme dedication to excellence, would take up the task. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, ready to write another chapter in the house’s history and in the Dão region. The wines are excellent, made with rigor and a strong desire to do the best.
