We are looking at a producer who has risen from the ashes. He came to stay and write a new chapter, but the house’s history is old—dating back to the 19th century, when it was first built. Great wines have been born from this house and its vineyards. Who can forget the P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca? Fate had the property “abandoned” to the world of wine, leaving only a faint memory of the great wines that were once made there. Fate also had the new owner be a person of good taste and extreme dedication to doing things well. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, ready to write a fresh chapter in the story of this house and the Dão region. The wines are excellent, crafted with rigor and a strong desire to produce the best. (image merely illustrative)
