This Abanico Reserva from Casa da Passarella is a real journey back in time – straight to the heart of the Dão. Born from vines with a history stretching back to the 19th century, and with a lineage that includes the legendary P63 from José Maria da Fonseca, it’s brimming with passion. The Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, and Jaen grapes play beautifully together, thanks to a prolonged maceration that amplifies those rich aromas and flavours. A year spent maturing in new American oak barrels has softened the edges, without compromising the vibrant personality of the terroir. Seriously, this is a wine to be enjoyed with some good beef – a true tribute to the Dão region.
