We are looking at a producer that has risen from the ashes. They came to stay and write a new chapter, but the house’s story goes back to the 19th century when it was built. Great wines were born here, from these vines. Who can forget the P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca? Fate seemed to leave it “abandoned” in the world of wine, preserving only a faint memory of the great wines that emerged there. It also left the new owner—a person of good taste and extreme dedication to making and doing well. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, to write a new chapter in the house’s history and in the Dão region. The wines are excellent, made with rigor and a great desire to do the best.
