Description

At Casa de Mouraz, all vineyards are cultivated organically, without the use of herbicides or synthetic agrochemicals, and have been certified by ECOCERT since 1996. The soil is fertilised with seed plants and organic manure. Vine treatments rely on natural products such as copper, sulphur, seaweed, clay and plant infusions. Biological farming at Casa de Mouraz is guided by respect for the soil, the plants, humanity and the diversity of life in its ecological integrity. With less manipulation, the soil produces a more authentic wine that faithfully reflects the terroir and the vineyard where it was grown. Since late 2006, Casa de Mouraz has also adopted biodynamic practices, seeking to deepen the harmony between soil, plants, animals and humans. (illustrative image only)
