At Casa de Mouraz, all vineyards are cultivated ecologically, without herbicides or synthetic agrochemicals, and have been certified by ECOCERT since 1996. The soil is fertilised using seedlings and organic composts. Vine treatments employ natural products such as copper, sulphur, seaweed, clay and plant infusions. Biological farming at Casa de Mouraz is guided by respect for the soil, the plants, humans and the diverse, ecologically intact life. Less manipulation means the soil yields a wine that is more authentic, faithfully reflecting the terroir and the vineyard where it was grown. Since the end of 2006, Casa de Mouraz has also adopted biodynamic practices, aiming to deepen the harmony between soil, plants, animals and humans. (illustrative image only)
