This wine, from Casa Ferreirinha Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, clearly enjoyed a lengthy chat with the grapes from Quinta da Leda and Quinta do Seixo. Following a gentle “meeting” with the crush, the key varieties – Sousão, Touriga Francesa, Vinhas Velhas and Touriga Nacional – underwent careful, temperature-controlled fermentation, incorporating a touch of robotic foot treading and careful pump-overs. The result is a deeply coloured ruby wine, bursting with aromas of ripe red berries, violets, and a whisper of lavender. The oak has been beautifully integrated, acting more like a trusted companion. A superb pairing with roasted red meats, naturally.
