This Castello D’Alba is a wonderfully restrained wine, born from the schistous and granite soils of the Douro Superior. Hand-picked without destemming, the Durienses grapes deliver a wonderfully pure expression, with a refreshing vibrancy on the palate. The extended “batonnage” – a nod to traditional practices – adds layers of complexity, while the native yeast fermentation maintains a lively acidity. Seriously delicious with fresh fish or seafood.
