This "Castello D'Alba Limited Edition" from the Douro certainly sets out its stall with ambition – a rather bold one, I must admit. The Douro’s traditional terroirs clearly inspire this effort, predominantly showcasing Touriga Nacional alongside a touch of Dona Fernão and Picão Tinto. It’s a wine built for complexity, though perhaps a touch over-engineered for a classic ribeye.
