Castelo do Sulco Selecção do Enólogo tinto is produced from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Castelão grapes. It offers aromas of wild fruit, blackberries and raspberries. On the palate it is smooth and harmonious, with mature, elegant tannins. Quinta do Gradil has been part of the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that the vineyard and wine became part of the estate’s economic activity. It was in the 19th century that one of the most decisive moments occurred, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited the Quinta from her father, turning it into a benchmark agricultural enterprise focused on wine production. Years later, Quinta do Gradil remains a worldwide Portuguese reference, now led by Luís Vieira. (image purely illustrative)
