This Catarina is a surprisingly complex wine. Crafted with Arinto and Fernão Pires, alongside a Chardonnay that wisely took a mid-year break in new French oak barrels, it presents a pale yellow hue brimming with minerality and floral notes. On the palate, the juicy peach and pineapple playfully interact with the subtle warmth of the oak, culminating in a remarkably long and refreshing finish – a true reflection of the exceptional terroir of the Setúbal Peninsula. Awarded 89 points by Robert Parker and silver medals in Portugal and Asia, it’s a wine that begs to be paired with a generous wedge of Azeitão cheese.
