This Caves Santa Marta is a true beauty – it certainly delivers on its ruby hue. The fruit flavours remain remarkably refined on the palate, a clear sign of meticulous winemaking, particularly with the extended maceration highlighting the character of the Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Touriga Francesa and Tinta Barroca. Enologist Carla Martins’ touch, honed with French oak ageing, results in a wonderfully balanced wine, perfect alongside grilled meats or a hearty seafood stew. A pH of 3.53 and a respectable 0.9 g/dm³ of residual sugar only enhance its appeal.
