Produced in years of exceptional quality, with the aim of creating a genuine Bairrada red wine. With a silky texture, it presents a very creamy mouthfeel, with polished tannins that confirm its remarkable and sophisticated character. Since 1937, the company Caves do Solar de São Domingos has produced sparkling wines, aged brandies, bagasse brandy, Bairrada and Dão wines. Their galleries house more than two million bottles of sparkling wine, thousands of bottled wines, and hundreds of French oak casks for their famed wine brandies. The “São Domingos” Bagasse Brandy, produced in its own stills, continues to lead the market with the same quality as always. In 2006, a modern winemaking center was inaugurated, allowing it to receive a thousand tonnes of grapes from its own properties and from viticulturists working in partnership with the company. The constant innovation in production and winemaking methods has enabled the elevation of the house’s wine quality and prestige, reinforcing the brand São Domingos’ competitive position. Enotourism is also a winning bet, dazzling thousands of visitors each year with the beauty of galleries carved into rock, the millions of bottles, as well as the showroom, hall, and museum with a tasting room, all part of the Bairrada Route.
