Description

Cepas Cinquentenárias white wine, made from the varieties Fernão Pires, Arinto, Trincadeira das Pratas, Bical, Rabo de Ovelha, and Malvasia fina, comes from vines planted in 1961. Its elegance is reflected in aromas of white flowers and subtle vanilla. On the palate, it is fruity, slightly citrusy, with a refreshing acidity and a lingering finish. In this estate, where the prestigious Serras de Grândola wines originate, there is a vine over 50 years old, planted in 1961, and a younger vine from 2008. Located just 10 km from the coast, between the beaches of Aberta Nova and Galé, the vineyards benefit from Atlantic breezes. Positioned at 150 metres above sea level on the western slope of the Serra de Grândola, it enjoys cool nights that favor balanced ripening. Moreover, the notable soils, rich in iron and slate, complement the uniqueness of the terroir. Wine production is a family endeavour carried out in the house cellar, with soils naturally poor in organic matter and a strong iron presence, contributing to the characteristic minerality of the wines.
