The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that comes with their age. We select brands/regions that, on average, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of vintage wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism, and over time—even while sealed in a bottle—its aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years of being closed. If you choose to decant before serving, make sure to do so patiently to detect the sediment that an old wine tends to develop. (illustrative image)
