Older wine bottles may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always opts to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, normally, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism that, even when sealed in a bottle, is subject to evolving aromas over time. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, given that it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine air out beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years of closure. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure to do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment that old wine typically produces. (Illustrative image only)
