Vintage bottles may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal for their age. The National Cellar ensures that all wines are stored at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, as a rule, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. Accordingly, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years of closure. If you decide to decant the wine before serving, be patient to detect the appearance of sediment, which old wines tend to develop. (Illustrative image)
