We typically select brands or regions that look strong in old‑wine competitions. Still, wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even inside a bottle its aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore Garrafeira Nacional cannot be held liable for the wine’s quality, as it is aged. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let it breathe beforehand, helping to release the natural aromas after so many years closed. Avoid decanting, as it can be too aggressive for old wines.
