Château Cos D'Estournel Saint-Estèphe Tinto

Description

The Cos, as it was known, was born in the hands of Louis Gaspard d'Estournel, a man who had only one passion – the small estate of Cos – which he considered so special that in 1811 he decided to start bottling his production. Unfortunately, his passion also became his downfall, as, in an effort to expand and beautify the estate, he incurred numerous debts, leading to its sale in 1985. The château passed from hand to hand until it reached the Prats family (also producers of Chryseia with the Symington family). In 2000, Bruno Prats sold Cos d'Estournel to Michel Reybier, the current owner. (illustrative image only)
