Description

The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal given their age. The National Cellar is obliged to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that comes with their age. We carry out a selection of brands/regions that, in general, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of vintage wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism that, even when sealed in a bottle, is subject to evolving aromas over time. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product's quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant before serving, be patient to detect the appearance of sediment, which tends to form in an old wine. (Illustrative image)
