The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar is obliged to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in aged wine tastings. Nevertheless, we point out that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even while sealed, its aromas can evolve differently. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years of closure. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure to do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which an aged wine tends to develop.
