Garrafeira Nacional is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, by nature, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we want to emphasize that wine is a living organism; even while sealed in a bottle, its aromas evolve over time. Consequently, Garrafeira Nacional cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, which will help release its natural aromas after many years of being sealed.
