Description

The bottles of older wines may show dust traces and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar is obliged to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of vintage wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism that, even while sealed in a bottle, is subject to different evolutions over time. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you decide to decant the wine before serving, make sure to do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment that an older wine tends to develop. (Illustrative image)
