Château Gilette Sauternes Créme de Tête 1982 is produced following the original methods introduced in the 1930s by René Médeville, grandfather of the current owner, Julie Gonet‑Médeville. The vineyards are cultivated ecologically (tilling with organic enrichment). The grapes affected by Botrytis cinerea (noble rot) benefit from the prevailing microclimate in Sauternes and Preignac. During the harvest, between three and eight passes are required to pick berries that are perfectly “roasted” or in a state of “noble rot”.
