Located in the heart of the prestigious Saint‑Émilion region, on the right bank of Bordeaux, Château Angélus is a true icon among France’s great wines. Owned by the Boüard de Laforest family since 1920, it takes its name from the ringing of nearby church bells that echoed across vineyards arranged in a natural amphitheater. Classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé A – the highest level in the Saint‑Émilion hierarchy – Château Angélus is globally recognised for its unwavering commitment to excellence. The estate grows mainly Merlot and Cabernet Franc, producing wines of great concentration, structure and freshness, with remarkable ageing potential. Winemaking blends tradition with innovation, employing 18 months of new‑oak barrel maturation followed by up to five years of bottle ageing before release.
