Old wine bottles may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is consistent with their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We conduct a selection of brands/regions that, in general, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even inside a bottle its aromas evolve. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, given that it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years sealed.
